If you see a pink truck on the road please say hello. It is an emblem of our contribution to the fight against breast cancer and Noxguard DEF breast cancer awareness policy.  Transliquid Technologies LLC, through its flagship product Noxguard DEF, supports The National Breast Cancer Foundation (NBCF), and under this commitment, we decided a year ago to have a vehicle that would be a herald of the efforts that many sectors make for the treatment and above all, prevention of this disease.

We know that the transport sector has traditionally been a mostly male sector, but every year it seems that the participation of women is increasing, as in many other areas. We think that’s fantastic.

If you look at the Department of Labor data regarding labor force statistics, it currently shows that the number of professionals in “specialized freight” is 3,364,000 in the United States. Of that population, 7.8 percent are women, which means that there are 262,392 female drivers.

But our approach goes beyond the transport sector. It is rather for  the global population, our entire social environment, that we aim to create awareness for prevention.

For 2021, the forecasts improved, but they remain worrying. About 281,550 new cases of invasive breast cancer will be diagnosed in women. About 49,290 new cases of ductal carcinoma in situ, cancer of the breast ducts (DCIS) that is difficult to spread (metastasize), will be diagnosed. Approximately 43,600 women will die of breast cancer.

Breast cancer is the second leading cause of cancer death in women. The chance of a woman dying from breast cancer is about 1 in 39 with an early diagnosis (about 2.6%) and men can develop it too (as we previously mentioned, on other  Noxguard DEF breast cancer awareness article).
